Which insulation is
right for you?

Three systems, one goal: keeping your building comfortable. Answer 5 quick questions and we'll recommend the right one.

Find your perfect building setup

Answer 5 quick questions and we'll recommend the right insulation system for your building.

What is this building's primary use?

All three achieve the same R-value

R-value is not a differentiator. Whether you choose blanket (6"), spray foam (2"), or IMP (3") — they all hit ~R-20. The difference is thickness, not performance. Pick based on your priorities, not insulation specs.

How wide can you go
without columns?

Clear span width is the #1 factor customers underestimate. Here's what happens to cost as you go wider.

300 ft

Cost increases are non-linear — going from 150ft to 300ft doesn't double the cost, it can triple it or more

🏗️

300ft Clear Span

No columns, maximum flexibility — but the steel frame has to work much harder. Rafters can be 6–10+ feet deep and cost rises exponentially.

Highest cost per sqft
🏛️

300ft with Columns at 150ft

One row of interior columns splits the span in half. Each half stays in the efficient zone — same total width, dramatically less steel.

Save 30–40%

We always show you both options

Want 300ft clear span? We can absolutely do it. But we'll also show you what it costs with a column row — so you can make an informed decision based on your layout and budget. The choice is always yours.

Questions?

How fast do I get my quote?

Our AI analyzes your plans in minutes. After engineer review, you'll have a firm, all-in price — usually within a few hours, not weeks.

Do I need finished drawings?

No. We accept rough sketches, napkin drawings, PDFs, images, or CAD files. If you don't have any drawings, you can enter your building specs manually.

What does it cost to get a quote?

Nothing. Upload your plans and get your price for free. You only pay when you're ready to buy your building.

How accurate is the pricing?

Every quote is reviewed by a licensed engineer and based on real manufacturer pricing. The price you see is the price you pay — no surprise change orders.

Can I track my project after I buy?

Yes. Your customer portal gives you 24/7 access to project status, documents, payments, shipping updates, photos, and more — from your phone or desktop.

What types of buildings do you quote?

Steel warehouses, shops, commercial buildings, agricultural buildings, hangars, and more. If it's a pre-engineered metal building, we can quote it.

Can you erect the building too?

Yes. If you don't have your own erection crew, we can send experienced contractors to your site to put it up. You get one quote covering the building and installation — no separate vendors to coordinate.

How wide can a building be without interior columns?

Up to about 300 feet, but costs rise steeply past 150–180 feet of clear span. At 150 feet, framing is efficient and affordable. Past 200 feet, rafters can be 6–10+ feet deep, requiring significantly more steel. We'll show you side-by-side pricing so you can decide if columns work for your layout.

What insulation options do I have?

Three main systems: blanket fiberglass (most affordable), spray foam (mid-range), and insulated metal panels (premium, best durability and appearance). All three can achieve the same R-values — the right choice depends on your budget, use case, and priorities.

What insulation do I need for a heated or cooled building?

At minimum R-28 in the walls and R-38 to R-40 in the roof with a double-layer system. Without adequate insulation, you'll waste significant money on heating and cooling. We'll recommend the right R-value based on your climate zone and building use.

Can I put roll-up doors or openings on the sidewalls?

Absolutely. We engineer openings of any size — roll-up doors, sliding doors, overhead doors, windows, storefronts. Great for ventilation in sports facilities and warehouses.

Can I use glass, brick, or stone on the exterior?

Yes. We engineer the steel structure to support whatever exterior finish you choose — metal panels, glass curtain walls, brick veneer, stone, or combinations. You tell us the aesthetic vision, we make it structurally possible.

Can you handle everything, or do I need other contractors?

We handle four core scopes: steel engineering and fabrication, erection, concrete foundation, and excavation. For HVAC, electrical, and plumbing you'll need licensed subcontractors — or we can general-contract the entire project and manage those subs for you.

How long does it take from start to finish?

Timeline depends on building size, but a typical large project runs about 3–6 weeks for engineering and permit drawings, roughly 10 weeks for fabrication and delivery, and 10–16 weeks for erection. Total is roughly 6–8 months from go to occupancy.

Do I need finished architectural drawings to start?

No. A pencil sketch on paper is enough to get started. We reverse-engineer your vision into proper structural drawings. Once we have a preliminary idea of dimensions and layout, our design team starts working.
