Files Library: Company-Wide Document Storage and Search
Estimating offices accumulate reference files — standard details, vendor spec sheets, past proposals — that aren't tied to a specific project but need to be accessible to the whole team. The Files Library is where that all lives.
The Files Library is accessible at /account/files and organizes documents across three tabs: Project Files, My Files, and Team Files.
Three tabs
- Project Files (default): Every drawing page from every project you have access to — across all jobs, in one searchable list. This is the power tab for cross-project research.
- My Files: Personal uploads — reference materials, templates, or files you want accessible from any project.
- Team Files: Files shared with all team members on the account. Standard details, company spec sheets, manufacturer literature.
Cross-project search
The search box in Project Files runs instantly across filename, document type, AI-generated summaries, and full OCR text content — across every project simultaneously. Searching for "snow load" returns every spec page from every project that mentions snow loads. Useful when you need a comparable spec from a similar past job.
Filter and navigate
Filter chips by document type let you narrow to just plans, elevations, specs, or photos across all projects. Click any file to navigate directly to that page in the relevant project's Plans Room — the library is a pointer into your project data, not a separate copy.
Right-click actions and upload
Right-click any file for: Rename, Download, Share to Team (promotes a file to Team Files), and Move to Personal. Drag-and-drop folder upload supports entire directory structures — useful for uploading a standard details library in one shot.
