AI Building Renderings: Photorealistic Visuals from Your Drawings
Clients respond better to proposals that include a visual of their building. Generating realistic renderings used to require a 3D modeler or expensive software. Steelbridge produces them automatically from the drawings already in the project.
The rendering system uses Gemini AI with up to 14 reference images auto-selected from the project's plans, elevations, sections, and photos — spec documents and detail sheets are excluded automatically since they don't contribute to the visual.
Four view angles
- 3D Isometric: The most popular view — a perspective rendering from a corner showing all three exterior faces
- Front Elevation: Straight-on view of the primary facade
- Side Elevation: Profile view showing the roof slope and eave line
- Top-Down: Overhead view showing the footprint and roof layout
Manual reference selection
For most projects, automatic reference selection produces a great result. If you want more control, checkboxes on drawing cards in the Plans Room let you manually select exactly which pages are sent as references. Useful for highlighting a specific elevation or including a photo that gives important context.
Renderings in the Plans Room
Generated renderings are stored as first-class files in the Plans Room, viewable and downloadable alongside your regular drawings. Each rendering shows a "rendering" document type badge on its thumbnail card so it's easy to tell apart from structural drawings.
From the Plans Room, renderings can be attached to customer proposals or shared via the client portal.
