Plans Room: Your Complete Drawing Viewer

Contractors constantly flip between spec sheets, elevation drawings, and structural details. The Plans Room replaces scattered PDFs with a single organized viewer where every page is findable in seconds.

Every drawing page uploaded to a project lives in the Plans Room. You can browse them as a thumbnail grid, switch to a text view that shows the OCR content alongside each page, filter by document type, or search across everything at once.

Two view modes

The Plans Room has two ways to look at your drawings:

  • Grid view: Thumbnail cards for every page. Quick visual scan to find the drawing you're looking for. Annotation and markup count badges appear on cards that have notes.
  • Text view: Each page shown as a thumbnail on the left, OCR-extracted text on the right. Useful when you need to read spec content without opening each page individually.

Filter chips and search

Six filter chips sit above the grid — one per document type (Plan, Elevation, Section, Detail, Photo, Spec) — each showing the count for that type in the current project. Click one to narrow the view instantly.

The search box runs a real-time query across filename, document type, AI-generated summaries, and full OCR text content. Searching for "snow load" finds every spec page that mentions it, regardless of filename.

Page preview and navigation

Click any page to open a full preview with a sidebar showing document info and any annotations or markup. Once inside the preview, use left and right arrow keys to navigate to adjacent pages. A "3 / 12" counter in the header tracks your position. The scrollable container is capped at 70vh so the preview never pushes the layout off screen.
